My name is Peter Lin. I am a mathematician at Stony Brook University. I received my PhD in mathematics from the University of Washington in 2019.

Projects
- Math research: My research involves stochastic processes and complex analysis. I have been invited to give talks about my work in seminars/conferences at UChicago, Caltech, UPenn, and other international venues. See the research section of my academic website for articles and talk slides.
- Cryptocurrency trading bot: Used to exploit arbitrage opportunities across crypto exchanges during the 2018 boom. ~2000 lines of Python.
- 3D fractal and its conformal uniformization: A visualization of an object I have studied in my research.
- The code for generating the model is written in Python. Implemented the Quad Edge data structure to represent the polygonal mesh.
- Web visualization via three.js.
- Digital board games: Website for playing board games on a phone, tablet or TV. Frontend is written with Typescript+React, backend uses the boardgame.io framework. Repository.
- LaTeX graph for VSCode: VSCode extension for visualizing the logical structure of a math paper. Written in Javascript.
- Writing: Interactive articles about simple but surprising probability phenomena.
